Research in times of Corona
Researchers at IRI Life Sciences help to tackle the challenges caused by the coronavirusOur researchers have partly diverted their work to studying the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. We summarized our activities related to research on the virus and the ongoing pandemic.
IRI Life Sciences links key areas of scientific research, crossing multiple scales from molecular and cell biology to whole organisms and populations. Our approach is to study complex biological systems using a close interplay between quantitative experiments and theory. This interdisciplinary approach aims to reveal underlying mechanistic principles in biology.
With its cross-institutional set-up, IRI Life Sciences is an outstanding research facility in biomedical resarch: we advance cutting-edge research by drawing on complementary expertise and open exchange with shared resources among Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (HU), Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin and the Berlin Institute for Medical Systems Biology (BIMSB) of the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC).
